Reportage in diretta dall’italia1! And for those who do not speak Italian, I am reporting live from Italy! We have been here a little more than a week and while I am trying to find a balance between unplugging and updating every minute I wanted to give you all a bit of a download on what we have been up to! Our trip will have many posts ver the coming weeks and months, I am sure, but I wanted to share some of my favorite photos so far (many of which you have not seen on the gram) to give you a sneak peak into our adventures!
We started our trip in Lake Como where we explored many of the cities; Bellagio, Varena, Tremezzo, Menaggio, and Como itself. We walked around each of these small but hilly hamlets and traveled between them by boat – mostly by public ferry but on my birthday, by private boat for a few hours. We also visited a few of the famous villas located along the vast shoreline.
Next we headed to the coast – visiting Positano on the Emerald cost and then going a bit further South to Cinque Terre. We stayed in the most Southern of the five towns, Riogmaggiore, and enjoyed hiking the towns and then seeing them all by boat. And to complement the exercise we are and drank well, clearly. :). And for the past few days we have been in Florence, with a stop in Pisa to see the tower. This is an incredible city and it’s my third time here but it constantly surprises, which also makes sense as I have not been here in nearly ten years. Take a look at some of my favourite shots, in order that they were taken:

And since I have received a few DMs about it, once I am back I will put together a long post about how I plan trips – from picking cities and activities, to knowing where to stay, what to eat, and which things need to be booked ahead of time! If you have any questions on this drop them below in the comments or feel free to shoot me an email as I want to make sure it covers everything, A to Z!

How magical. I would just want to eat and drink and people watch all day long. Maybe a break for some great shopping and OK a museum or two.
Love Italy and glad you are getting to explore so many fantastic places.

I can’t wait to copy your trip with my boyfriend..
Everyone has heard of Lake Como but it is fun to see it through your eyes. Never heard of Cinq Terre and it looks really charming and romantic.
Would you recommend this as a honeymoon spot?

Fun fun and more fun. What a whirlwind of a trip. You two have covered a lot of ground and got a lot of hikes in too.
Offsets all that yummy pasta, pizza and can we say good wine?
Looks like you are having great weather too. What a nice birthday trip for you.
Loving all the photos.

What a fabulous trip so far. Been following you on Instagram and so envious of your adventure.
I am a bit sick of looking at my walls through this virus and you make me feel like I am traveling with you you bring your adventures to life so well.
Taking notes of all the spots you have gone to so that one day, hopefully soon, I can create a similar adventure.

Wow, you packed a lot of gorgeous sights into your trip! Thanks for sharing – you visited some of my favorites, never tire of these scenic places and also went to a few I still have on my list to get to (in fact was supposed to be there now, but COVID trumped these plans). Glad you were able to get to experience and share.

I had a hard time figuring out which photo I thought you looked happiest in.
I think I have to go with the one on the stairs.
Good for you that you got to snatch some time away.

Wow. I can tell you are having a lot of fun in Italy. I love all of the sites. Best photos you jumping into the ocean and holding up the leaning tower of Pisa. I want to go to Italy. Never been there. Once Americans can travel to Europe again I want to go. The food must be out of this world. The hiking to the top must be an accomplishment too. Those are some of the best views.
