It should come as no surprise that as we near the 7 year mark of Sparkles and Shoes my love for shoes is still as strong as ever. Sure, I do not blog about footwear on the regular anymore and I may walk to work in sneakers but my love a good heel is perhaps even stronger than when I started this blog.
I have posted over 100 different outfit photo shoots now on S&S featuring a whole variety of shoes including the ones today’s post is about, these Stuart Weitzman Corkswoon wedges in the shade Pyrite Nocturn. I had originally wanted these cork wedges with the navy upper fabric but when I saw these gorgeous metallic ones I could not resist! The color Pyrite Nocturn is officially described by the brand as black with cold but I see it more of a gold / silver mix and treat them as a neutral – they go with anything!
And your eyes are not playing tricks on you – these shoes are high – the heel is five inches and the platform helps take off that pressure but being more than an inched off the ground the start with. I love the iconic Stuart Weitzman cork wedge heel and rounded toe and the logo stud and tab at back heel, which you can see in the photos below.
Now I completely understand that the five inch heel may not be for everyone and as one of my friends says, these are “cab to table shoes” and I would not disagree. It is not as if I am walking the mile and a half to the office in these pretty ladies but they are great to add an element of class to a business meeting or date night. And in case this style does not work for you they also make Stuart Weitzman Jean in Pyrite Nocturn which features a peep toe slingback.
Would you wear these Stuart Weitzman cork wedges?
