One of my favorite trends this season is blue eyeshadow, the popularity of this trend comes and goes. You may recall in 2013 I wrote a post called Spring Trend: Blue Eyes and now seven years later it is back. Blue is one of my favorite colors and I think it is a fun way to create a dramatic look that is not a red lip. I have also read countless articles that you should not use blue shadow if your eyes are blue but I disagree – I think it is a fun way to play up my blue green eyes.
However, over the years my products have changed (thankfully as makeup does expire) and instead of Urban Decay and Sephora products I used a different combination. This look is a combination of the Morphe 9B Bronzed Babe Eyeshadow Palette, the Tom Ford Eye Color Quad 03 Cocoa Mirage, and the Sleek MakeUP I-Divine Palette in Original 594 as well as the Jeffree Star Cosmetics Skin Frost. Take a look at my latest blue shadow creation:
And now if you are interested in creating your own look I have linked the gout palettes I used above to create this ombré look. However, based on reviews and reader recommendations, I have rounded up some of the best blue shadows and palettes available this season at an array of prices from $5 to $54:
Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal 24HR Cream Shadow in Electric $10
L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24HR Shadow in Midnight Blue $5
Stila Vivid & Vibrant Eye Shadow Duo – Sapphire #444 $22
Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Defy $54
Lancome Hypnose 5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Bleu Hypnotique $50

The first couple of photos brings me to those 70’s movies with the huge false eye lashes and big hair.
I will have to try the deep dark blue shade for a dance night out.

I like it as an eye liner too and didn’t know it was making such a big comeback. So many shade to choose from.
