Happy, happy Friday! I few weeks ago I shared on Instagram that on Saturday I spent the day at a five years old’s birthday and she did countless twirls and ballerina impressions in between opening presents and devouring cake. And that very happy little girl reminded me of this tulle maxi dress – I don’t think there is ever an age you stop loving a twirly dress. Despite having been a fan of Blair Eadie and her countless tulle numbers I have never actually owned one myself which is part of the reason why when I saw this tulle maxi dress in blue on the ASOS website I immediately added it to my cart.
It has been a while since I have featured a look like this on Sparkles & Shoes Fashion Friday features but I am very pleased with how it turned out. One of the reasons I think this dress works is while the bottom is quite voluminous, the top has a plunge necklace and cami straps showing a little skin up top to balance it out. As mentioned above, this shoot was from a few weeks ago during the epic London lockdown so the location of my shot was certainly limited. Thus, these photos were taken less than 20 steps from the front door of my building and if you ever see it in real life, you would be surprised as we had to very strategically position. However, I am very happy with how these shots came out, especially the ones where I am standing on the wall, take a look:
