How are we already in December? It feels like this year has really flown by! Spending the last week in Florida with my family was great! On most of the weekdays I worked remotely but was still able to spend every evening with them and a few scattered days throughout that made it a lovely trip! For the first few days it was just my parents and I but then my brother was able to fly down from New York mid week and for the last two day we were also joined by my Grandmother, Meme! Here are a few snapshots from the last week with a little blurb about each, take a look at my Naples Thanksgiving:
As mentioned, I spent quite a few days broking and my Dad graciously let me takeover his wood panelled office which was quite the statement for many of the video calls I had to join!
This ahi tuna salad on the beach is one of my favorite things about Florida.
We spent Thanksgiving day on the boat and it was a gorgeous day – 80 degrees, low wind, and
We were also treated to almost a dozen dolphins at various points of our journey – my favorite was this baby dolphin who was trying to learn how to jump but had not quite gotten there.
This miso seabass from Saturday night was incredible, as was most of the fish I had during my week in Florida.
As my Mom graciously offered, we did quite a few photoshoots for Sparkles & Shoes – but let me tell you – shooting winter sweaters and knitted hats are super warm!
On my first night we drove straight from the airport to a local fish place and finished the meal with a slice of pie. Try and name something more Florida than homemade Keylime pie, just try…..
I managed to get a few workouts in while I was in Naples for Thanksgiving, specifically four HIIT classes at F45 which I do in London and love there as well!
On Saturday night we got dressed up for a belated Thanksgiving dinner and it was delightful way to spend my last evening in Florida, especially with my Memé!
Going into dinner we got a shot with both my Mom and Grandmother, all dressed in black and white!
Our Thursday Dinner was not quite typical, rather my brother requested my Mom make her chicken pot pie and while it may not be much to look at (due to my poor serving skills) it was incredibly tasty!
In addition to F45 workouts I was also able to get a few swims in which is always great – jamming along to some tunes and seeing palm trees out of my peripheral vision.
And after all of that work and exercise, a glass or two of rosé in the hot tub is always a good idea!
Yesterday on my last day I was one of the first people on the beach and loved adding my footprints in the morning dew!
Overall an incredible trip and my parents did a great job making every minute I was not working really count – I got to do all of my favorite things and then some! I already can not wait for my next trip back to Naples in February – it is going to be great! How did you spend Thanksgiving?

SO much fun! We were in Marco Island for Thanksgiving, and went in to Naples one night and thought it was gorgeous! Lunches on the beach and swimming for workouts are the best <3

Tons of turkey, stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, cranberry sauce, rolls and pecan and pumpkin pie with whipped cream.
Football, Macy’s day parade and lots of family and good cheer was my very excellent Thanksgiving.

Wish I had been in sunny Florida instead of freezing my toes and fingers off in the wind and snow storms. The weather looks like it was perfect for your family get away time.

Crazy amazing dolphin pictures. It was so nice of them to jump right in front of your boat for you like that.
Looks like it was a family filled Thanksgiving. I had a good one too.
