While I love my family dearly and most of them subscribe (and actually read) the daily Sparkles and Shoes blog posts they often have a hard time nailing down my style. Perhaps it is because it is constantly evolving but since I graduated highs school most fashion gifts are not quite what I would have picked out. And the number one way to solve that? Communicate, and then pick out your own presents. And that is exactly what I did with this Barbour jacket.
In September last year when it started getting cold in England I asked my mom if I could pick out a Barbour jacket as my birthday present. I did not want the standard one so I went to John Lewis (the UK version of Nordstrom) and tried on half a dozen before I finally settled on this one, the Barbour International Outlaw Hooded Jacket in Navy. It had everything I was looking for from the practical waterproof exterior and hood to the fashionable belt and pop of fur at the collar. Since getting it last year it has been a staple in my wardrobe (you can find it on my most worn items list) and I wanted to share a few ways I have worn it:
And I would like to point out getting a Barbour jacket was not a new thing – buying one of these coats actually made my 101 in 1001 list back in 2014 and I did not cross it off!
Do you have a Barbour jacket?
