At the end of every year I recap my favorite posts of the year and while we are nowhere near the end of the year a PR company reached out to me for Paris Fashion Week (eek, so exciting) to ask for some Sparkles and Shoes site traffic numbers and I went down a little bit of a rabbit hole of Google Analytics. I love taking a look at the numbers behind my blog but I need to make sure to not get too caught up in them.
So far this year there have been 960,933 page views of the blog and I thought it would be fun take a look at what people are looking at the most.
As one would assume, the homepage is definitely first, followed by my outfit posts, the category page of my travels, and then my general posts about fashion. However, I have taken a look even further to see what indiviual posts brought the most people to Sparkles and Shoes, through a variety of means. In traditional countdown format, here we go:
(10) Winter Style in Bournemouth
This was such a fun trip with my parents and I can see why you loved the edition of Friday Fashion – a fun casual look with an adorable backdrop of colorful beach houses!
(9) English Factory Knit Combo Dress
One of the most exciting dresses to shoot – it had such great movement though I have to be careful, if I twirl too aggressively it is a bit of a peekaboo! This post also makes me remember how much I love these boots and while I am not wishing Summer to pass by any stretch of the imagination, I am excited to bring them back!
This was such a picturesque location, the historic New London Inn, and I love a good monochrome look with a pop of color! This also makes me recall how much I love New Hampshire (and actually all of New England) in the Fall, I will have to make sure next year I plan a trip up there as this year it is not going to work out.
(7) Getting Graphic
My first and only time doing a shoot in a t-shirt and very interesting that you all really like it. I really struggled on how to style it but am actually happy with how it came out – thanks for the love!
I love castles so it makes me very happy at least one made it in the most popular. This was actually my 5th date with my boyfriend and I marvel that he wanted to spend 12 hours in a car with me that early into our relationship but looking back on it now, it definitely makes me smile! Plus it is a great London day trip, less than two hours out of the city!
This was shot in 2018 but I did not get around to posting it until the Spring and I am glad I did (I had thought about not) as this is one of my favorite maxis and one of the only times I have worn a hat – maybe I should do this more often!
(4) Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh
My visit to Scotland was for work but I am so glad I added on a weekend in Edinburgh, it was not enough time to explore fully but what I did get to see was absolutely beautiful! Plus you know I love a good photoshoot with a panoramic backdrop!
Visiting my parents in Florida is always a highlight of my year so I am glad you all found this post of my recap to Naples in February interesting as well! Good news, I am going back in November so get ready for more Florida shots!
Love that this is so high up on the list and reminds me I need to get going on crossing up so many of these things, but good news, I am actually going to go to the Churchill War Rooms this weekend, so that’s one!
(1) Style Dimension NYFW VIP Party
This was such a fun night! I find it very interesting that my most popular post of this year is actually one from September 2018 but it makes sense that you are ll interested in New York Fashion Week, it is a very fun and exciting thing. And also a note to self for London Fashion Week coming up next month – I should blog more about it!
Did you catch all of these posts?

I always wonder what would peak your readers interest the most. Fashion, tips, travels etc… I don’t know much about how you figure out which are the most popular? Is is by comments? Can you track if your posts are forwarded to people?
This all is a big black hole to me.

You certainly have worn a lot of great outfits this year though I am surprised your Bali adventure did not make the list – those posts have been my favorite!

That English dress was certainly different for you and I am sure a conversation starter.
Looks like it was so fun to wear and twirl around in. Very avant guarde for you my dear.
Those boots are a killer too, very sexy!

I did catch them as I always read your blog and love that I never know what you are going to write about but it will be fun and full of great photos.
The castle post I think was my personal favorite although some of your Bali posts are a close second.
