For the past six years I have attended every season of New York Fashion Week (and since it is twice a year, the last 12 times), however, next month will be my first time missing it. Why? Well I no longer live in Manhattan and since I moved last Spring both the September 2018 and February 2019 shows aligned with reasons I had to be back in the cit.y However, since I am heading to NYC this weekend it does not quite make sense to go back two weeks later. Plus, I have another idea in mind.
This season, S/S 2020 I will be changing it up and attending shows in both London and Milan for the first time and this i am VERY excited about. You may recall seeing on Instagram that i was confirmed as press for London Fashion Week and already have two shows and a party int he diary (what they refer to a calendar as, here in England). LFW will be logistically quite a bit easier as I love in London and can plan my work and personal life around shows, parties, events, catwalks, and presentations over the course of the week. Milan, on the other hand, is going to be a bit harder.
Milan is going to be harder because I have to fly to Italy, figure out logistics of hotels, shows, and events in a city I have never been to and balance my full time job. Though it is not impossible and I love a good challenge plus I have heard MFW is next level! Currently I am planning to be there for a long weekend and with only one show invite so far it is a bit risky to book it but if it is anything like New York Fashion Week, the invites will come in last minute and as my Mom texted me, I should take advantage of living in Europe and having the opportunity to do things like this!

I want to know how Milan differs from NYC when you say the next level. I wonder if they do the shows in Italian, hopefully not.

I would love to attend a fashion show/after party outside of NYC. London/Milan will be great venues for fashion week. You will enjoy both of them. When is London’s and Milan’s Fashion Week. I believe late September or early October? Always great sipping champagne or wine at the after party while looking your best and looking at the best fashion.
