As part of our weekend away in the Cotswolds where we stayed at the gorgeous Tortworth Court, on Saturday we spent the majority of the day exploring the coutnrside via bike. Having driven from London we certainly did not bring our own bikes and after a quick Google I decided on renting them from Far Peak Cycling, getting two Adult Hybrid Bikes for the day. Picking the bike was the easy part, the route was a much harder decision!
We decided to go for the Coln and Leach Valley Loop from the half a dozen that were offered. While the website suggests that you can cover the 31 miles in 4-5 hours we did it in just over three if you don’t count the stop we made for lunch at a local pub. The hills definitely did make it a five out of ten in terms of difficult though thankfully almost the entire way was paved road.
On this route we started in Northleach and then biked through Barnsely, Quennington, across the River Con, through Southrop, Hatherop, and Coln St Aldwyns. We stopped at the The Victoria Inn in Eastleach for lunch before biking back through Bibury and Ablington to get back to the car and our starting point.

This looks like such a fun weekend away and I still can not get over that there were llamas, I would have stopped too!
All of my love,
