Welcome to Friday! It has definitely been a weird week – lovely starting off with a Bank Holiday on Monday but I was sad to say goodbye to my brother who was in town visiting for the long weekend. Also because Monday was a holiday in England and Thursday / Friday was a holiday in Germany that meant no work travel for me this week. It was nice to get back into a routine and fit in a few workout classes though it was weird to be home long enough to do a proper grocery shop! Fear not though, the travel is back next week and I have a very busy June and July on deck!
But today that is not what we are talking about, we are talking about a great weekend outfit and specifically this blue statement coat that the wonderful people at Rydale recently sent me. On their website the Emley 3/4 Length Riding Coat immediately popped out at me because I loved the color and the style of the jacket. Believe it or not, it does not rain in London as much as foreigners think it does but on those days when the skies open up this windproof and waterproof jacket is going to come in clutch. It was not really until I took it out of the adorable packaging that I realised it has a beautiful check lining and when you twirl in it, because obviously, it has a vent to stop it from getting too hot! It is such a statement piece that I decided to let the Rydale riding coat for a casual about town look with a t-shirt, leggings, oversized sunglasses and flats.

Oh my gosh I LOVE this jacket! The color is gorgeous and I love that the longer length makes it look dressier than your typical rain jacket. So cute!

I had not heard of this company before and just looked up their website to see what other colors there are in this style. I was happy to see so many other styles that they offer.
A versatile raincoat is such a staple and this one looks attractive too. Not easy to do while being functional.

I had never heard of Rydale before but now I will not forget it. I am going to have to get one of these. My current raincoat is a bit too short and especially when I am wearing a dress it is so nice to have the whole thing covered. Plus I bet when I sit down that my whole bottom is going to be covered as well.
So many coats I have looked at to replace mine look really frumpy and this one does not! Like the venting aspect too. Great coat!!

What a perfect rain coat…it covers you up perfectly and great hood. It looks really light too so that it wouldn’t be heavy to lug around town when you are popping in and out of places.
