Believe it or not we are coming up on a year of me living in London (eek) and one of my favorite things about living abroad has been the proximity to so many charming, quaint towns that are only a train ride away. Granted, I have not even begun to scratch the surface but one of my favorites was definitely Bruges. Only an hour from Brussels you can find my top picks from the city here and my tour of the brewery here but as mentioned, I would also highly suggest a boat tour!
I went during the Summer but as I understand it they from from March to November from 10am to 6pm and there is no need to book ahead – just pick one of the five stops throughout the quaint little city and get ready for a half hour on the water taking in the charming canals and adorable town houses from a different vantage point. I can not recall the price exactly but eight euros rings a bell and I would definitely say it was worth it. Take a look at some of the pictures I managed to snap on my tour!
Would you go on a Bruges boat tour?
