Happy Friday on the one week a year where Friday really does not matter! But even though a good deal of you are likely off work today it is a Friday and the last one of the year so that means a new outfit post! In case you could not tell from the four dozen Fashion Friday posts or my round up earlier this week of my 10 best looks, I have been a big fan of both off the shoulder and bell sleeves this year and finally I found a dress that combines both of them in one! This BB Dakota Off Shoulder Two-Tone Lace Dress check all of the right boxes for me – from the lace sleeves to the a-line cut, it was a keeper the moment I saw it plus you can’t go wrong with shades of blue.
On Tuesday night I paired the dress with these Rebecca Minkoff Statement Sphere Drop Earrings which I recently picked up from Shopbop and my favorite pair of rose gold strappy sandals and called it a day. As I mentioned on Instagram, the look worked perfectly for my parent’s annual holiday party – an occasion which calls for black or deep red in my mind – but where this dress worked well in this 80 degree Florida weather – an outfit compromise!

And I must say, I think my younger brother did a great job taking these photos for me! Usually my Mom is my photographer when I am home but as she was setting up for the party my brother stepped in, thanks Kev. The party was a great success and I will share a few tips and tricks for hosting a 20+ person dinner party as well as a few recipes but for now a selfie from the evening!

This is a nice dress and paired with these earrings, too. Nice you can wear clothes like that at this time of year, we’ve been into long underwear and fleece! At least nobody can tell if I overate during the holidays and have time to lose those pesky few before spring and pretty dresses and shorts.
