Thank you for all of the sweet birthday wishes, I had an amazing day yesterday and really felt the love! I have spent the last week celebrating my favorite day of the year and it was incredibly wonderful. I have one my year until my golden birthday but celebrated this one like it was golden or a milestone year (which it was not). The next month I have crazy travel plans and in order to make sure I was able to celebrate to the fullest my family had gorgeous flowers delivered to my office a week early so I could enjoy them longer. Starting with Friday night, let me take you through a birthday recap – over the weekend I had an incredibly wonderful and relaxing weekend doing all of my favorite things – eating, drinking, shopping, working out, and spending time with friends.
Saturday night nearly 20 friends were able to join me at one of my favorite bars on the Upper East Side for drinks in a low key celebration. In a very un-Kelly like fashion I did not get a ton of photos of the night as I was too busy running around, making sure I got to chat with everyone, and having a great time.
Sunday was the best kind of day where I caught up on life, got ready for the week, and started packing for my non stop travels. Then on Monday, I started out my official birthday week the best way I know how, with a great spin class and the worst day of the week was made better when I was when I got invited to see DNCE and De La Soul perform at the Spotify Opening Gig of Advertising Week. If you follow along on Snapchat or via Insta stories you saw the live videos of Toothbrush and Cake by the Ocean but in case you missed them check out a few pictures I took at the PlayStation Theater where we were third row at the Time Square hotspot!
Then onto my actual birthday, Tuesday, where I started the day with a crazy high intensity workout at one of my favorite ClassPass spots, Solace New York, where I sweat for an hour and then posed for quick pic with my workout instructor who just so happens to be Kenny from the Real World. (Yeah, this guy). It is a great class and if someone is going to tell you to do burpees at 7am it might as well be him.
From my workout I went to work because it was Tuesday and my coworkers were the sweetest between decorating my desk and scheduling an afternoon meeting with red velvet cupcakes and champagne. My wonderful day ended with dinner on the Upper West Side with my brother where I enjoyed a delicous seafood ceviche followed by a massive brownie sundae.
A big thank you to all of my friends, family, and coworkers for making this birthday so special. Sure, it was just a random Tuesday but I sure have felt the love the past few days! Thank you all and cheers to what I am sure will be the best year yet!
