So today is finally here, my BIRTHDAY!!! And while I usually where simple make up to work, I intensified it today, ala a pink lip and shimmer eye shadow. I love makeup because it allows me to change my look in five minutes whenever I feel like it. I think it is a phenomenal way to quickly make a big difference and if I do something I don’t like, whether a color or a shade, I am able to change it back very quickly. Sephora is one of my favorite stores and despite being ridiculously expensive is the home of many of my favorite beauty projects including the wonderful bronzers and blushes by NARS.   
After years of sleep depriving swim schedules the bags or black circles under my eyes got so dark I looked like I was a prison escapee. To combat this I have undoubtedly tried over two dozen types of concealers and it is just my luck that the one that I found that works happens to be the most expensive on the market, CLE De Peau Beaute Concealer. The price tag shocks most people but the one little stick, the size of a small lipstick, lasts me almost an entire year and I use it everyday, sometimes multiple times per day.  Bottom line: it works. 
For my day to day look I try not to wear too much make up, or at least, make it not look like I am wearing too much make up, see the picture above.  My S.O.P., or standard operating procedure, is NARS bronzer, Cle De Peau Beaute concealer, NARS blush, Urban Decay liquid eyeliner, Too Faced eye shadow primer, Urban Decay eye shadow and drug store mascara. I like to think that for using seven products a day my look does not reflect this, in a good way.  However, when I am going out I will wear more makeup, switch out some of the products, and or add more color.
