On both Saturday and Sunday mornings I worked out, went to brunch, and then laid out in Central Park with my friend Samantha and it was delightful. While so many friends had “escape the city” written across their calendars or weddings to attend we spent both days enjoying the gorgeous 80 degree weather here in New York City. And of course devouring this waffle. In addition to spend all weekend in the Park it just so happens the Sunday before I also spent in CP but instead of laying on a beach towel on the Great Lawn I went on a long Father’s Day excursion with my mom and my brother.
We spent Sunday morning at my brother’s Upper West Side apartment before picking up lunch and eating it overlooking the Lady’s Pavilion and the Great Lake just inside the West 77th Street entrance. After our picnic where I had a salad and they had sandwiches, we went on a long walk exploring paths I had never journeyed down and once we completed a large loop of the 70’s and 80’s we decided to jump on city bikes and do the full 6.1 mile loop of Central Park. I’m so cliche and LOVE the row boats! Edward and I have a list of destinations we would love to move to after our expat adventure. New York City is at the top of my list! Laying out in the park sounds like the perfect weekend. I spent my time hoping from one winery to the next.
