Fingers crossed by the time you are reading this I will be on a plane to Florida or already have arrived in the Sunshine State! Wednesday night my travel plans got thrown for a loop with a permanently delayed flight so I am going to try again on Thursday morning.
Thinking positive thoughts and moving on – I have had a thing for tattoos for a while now. No mom, no grandma, I did not get a tattoo but that does not stop me from ogling over those that do. I have followed Kat Von D on social media for years – her eyeliner is a game changer – and a few months I went down the rabbit hole, after clicking on a piece completed by one of the artists at her shop, High Voltage Tattoo (from the show LA Ink), into a huge tattoo world on Instagram I did not know existed.
One of the best accounts that I found is BangBangNYC, the page of tattoo shop here in New York City, located on 328 Broome Street. The main artist Keith McCurdy, who is affectionately known as“Bang Bang”, has been getting a lot of press after tattooing some of the biggest celebrities in the game including Cara Delevingne, Justin Bieber, Adele, Rihanna, Lebron, and Kylie Jenner. And with good reason, Keith is seriously talented. Here are are some of my favorite pieces he has created:
Not only does he have a tremendous skill but so do the other artists in his shop. I have since started following almost all of them and my favorites include Hungarian Balazs Bercsenyi, illustrative design front runner Joice Wang, 21-year old Oscar Akermo, watercolor expert Georgia Grey as well Hector Daniels.
If I was to get a tattoo, which I do not have any current plans to do , it would have to have some serious meaning and would have to be something I was certain I wanted inked on my body forever. That said, if I did decide on a piece I would definitely head to one of these amazing artists at Bang Bang Tattoo to get it done. (No, this post is not sponsored, I just think these ladies and gents have some serious talent you need to see!)
Do you have a tattoo?

One enjoy your trip to Florida. Two you might have some cold mornings there. Three you don’t need tattoos. You are a good looking woman without them.
