Planning My Dream Wedding

Here. Comes. The. Bride.  doo-doo-do-do.  Oh no, I am not engaged, not even close as I made clear over Christmas, but you better believe the traditional wedding march will be playing when I walk down the isle – whenever that may be.  I have loved weddings since I can remember and the idea of planning my fairytale big day makes me very, very happy.  With my Pinterest wedding board, my love of high end wedding photography, the dozens of wedding albums I have been looking at recently on Facebook, and five ceremonies under my belt you could say I am a bit obsessed.

Now while you might guess I have every detail planned out, from the Church and the reception venue to the dress and the colors, I actually have nothing set in stone. The groom definitely has a say and who knows, in a few years my opinions might change but I have made a list of a few things I would like at my dream wedding: 

A Photographer for the Entire Day

Intricate Wedding Invitations

A Long Veil

An Adorable Flower Girl (or two) 

 

Low Centerpieces 

A Sparkler Send Off 

True, this list of must-haves may change but it is fun to dream! And to make this just a little more real next Thursday evening I will be at Macy’s iconic New York City flagship store in Herald Square to get wedding inspiration tips from none other than Martha Stewart.

Martha herself will be at the store talking about her latest book, “Martha Stewart Weddings, Ideas & Inspiration”.  It is a little surreal that she will be there sharing tips for planning and personalizing the big day and that I (and you, if you come!) have the chance to meet her and get my copy of the book signed after purchase.  

I already have so many thoughts on a cohesive theme, my ideal color palette, where I would register for gifts, ideas on my bachelorette party, the flavors of cake, and the send off but I can not wait to hear what Martha has to say about all of these things!  I will be at the event thanks to a great collaboration with Macy’s and as I must disclose, this post is sponsored by Everywhere Agency; however, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
