The Best of September

Last year I must have missed a step as I did not cover the September issues of magazines like I did in 2013 but they are my favorite!  Every August each major magazine reveals their September issue brimming with the latest in every fashion trend imaginable, filled with more pages than any other month, and usually beautifully adorned with a top actress or model gracing the cover.  One of my favorite picks from this year’s issues is the J. Crew Rhodes Blazer in Italian Wool featured in Vogue – finally something relatively affordable from one of my favorite brands. 

Not only do the top publications duke it out for shelf space they also historically compete on who can have the biggest issue. Serious It-girl Gigi Hadid is on the cover of W magazine and the issue boasts 458 pages – just one copy will set you back $7.99.  I thought Kiera Knightly’s Elle would take the cake for the most pages with 668 and then I picked up Harper’s with Katy Perry which came in at 702 pages but I should have known.  

This year Vogue is the winner, size-wise, by my count with an astonishing 832 pages.  Keeping in mind page count and weight of each copy I have picked up a handful for my journey next weekend.  Here are the covers of the top magazines this month with links to shop at the bottom.
