My Favorite Maxi Dress

Every time I put on a maxi dress and head out of my apartment I feel like I am cheating.  This warm, comfortable, drappy fabric feels like pajamas but society calls it clothes? Really?  Okay, I will take it!  I purchased this black and white maxi dress over Memorial Day Weekend at the outlets in Utah and I have to say a special thanks to my friend Kortney.  We were in Ann Taylor Loft and I was trying on dresses when she brought this one to the fitting room.  Try it on, she said. This will look great on you, she said.  Well, she was right, it is super comfortable and I would like to think, flattering, a true win-win in my book! 

If I was a true fashion blogger every single one of the items I am wearing would be from this season, in stock, and I would be able to to link to it with an extremely profitable referral url. Well, that would be nice. I purchased the dress at an outlet and can not find it anywhere online, the sunglasses are from a street stand here in Manhattan, the Kate Spade bow ring is out of stock, and the gold bangles are from a friend six Christmas’ ago. Whoops!  If you do like the look though the two items that are available are get the Kate Spade Gramercy watch I bought for Sparkles and Shoes birthday and my favorite Jack Rogers.

And let’s be serious, a photoshoot is hard work and deserves a reward. These photos were taken in Mashpee Commons in Cape Cod and afterward I enjoyed a delicious salmon dinner and a great glass of wine at Bleu Restaurant.
