It has been almost a month since I left the sunshine state and I miss the warmth and sand and that was before we started off this week with a Snowpocalypse / Nor’easter here in New York City (which was really only a few inches, but let’s not talk about that). As I mentioned a few weeks ago, golf is not my thing but a beach day is right up my ally.
My favorite day in paradise goes a little something like this, fresh grapefruit off the tree and coffee for breakfast, a five mile bike to the beach, a day spent relaxing on a beach chair, an three mile afternoon walk down the beach and back, bike home, and a swim before dinner. If I could do that all day every day I would be in heaven. Taking Throwback Thursday to a whole new level here are some photos from one of these three mile strolls along the beach:
The majority of the walk is along a state park with great people watching with tourists from other countries and their interesting choice in beach attire. Instead of the photographing them however, I brought my DSLR along to take pictures of a few really intriguing trees at the end of the park where walkers hang seashells:
The shells were a great way to practice the depth and focusing fields on my new camera but who am I kidding? It was 80 degrees and sunny, I will practice any kind of photography to be outside in that weather! Happy #tbt!
