New Year’s In Naples

This year I spent New Year’s Eve in a very different way – with my parents in Naples, Florida. It was quiet, relaxing, and a very calm way to ring in the new year.  Instead of a floor length gown or a flashy Rent the Runway number I wore one of my favorite dresses, my black and nude lace one, with my favorite nude pumps for New Year’s in Naples.

If you recall, last year I spent New Year’s Eve with my friend Esme at Caroline’s Comedy Club in Midtown Manhattan where we were actually able to go outside at 11:45 to watch the ball drop in Times Square – an item crossed off my bucket list!  The year before I went to an apartment party at one of my friend’s places and celebrated with 30 people.  This year there were over 100 people at the New Year’s Eve dinner and dancing event I went to but the average age was mostly likely 72 – and you know what?  It is was great! I enjoyed an evening of seafood and sparkling wine:
