Celebrating New Year’s Eve in Florida

Holy crap is it cold here in NYC. I had seen the past week and a half the NorthEast weather on the news but it was a shock to the system when I stepped off the plane yesterday. Speaking of yesterday, I had a debate with some friends and we agreed you can wish people Happy New Year for at least the full first week of the year and using that logic, I don’t think January 3rd is too late to share my NYE look with all of you! As you likely saw on Snapchat and Instagram I spent New Year’s Eve with my friend Kier of Kier Couture and her super sweet boyfriend in Delray Beach, Florida.  They were such gracious hosts for the few days I was in town and we had a blast. 

For me one of the most exciting parts of the night was (a) getting ready in Kier’s amazing coset and (b) having her do my hair.  She is currently in cosmotology school and had everything she could possibly need including all of these cool silver clips which she used to do my hair to attempt to hold the curl.  We got ready with rose and once we were fully done with makeup, hair, and had our outfits on we took a few photos before we headed out for the evening.  Take a look at the process: 

We had so much fun getting ready and her closet is serious goals – when she eventually posts her closet tour in January I will make sure to link it it because it is pretty dang terrific.  And after we finished getting ready, we got two final shots before we went out for the evening – one with a neutral background and another that also defines Christmas tree goals! 

If you saw on Instastories I took a few photos after we left the house but not too many and none were good enough to share here as we really focused on enjoying each other’s company and ringing in the new year in style – hopefully you agree that we did just that!
