Blue and Gray for the Win

As you may have seen on Instagram or Twitter I have spent three evenings this month at a bar in Murray Hill watching Georgetown Hoyas play basketball, including a huge win over Villanova last night! When I was in college I would head down to the games and I have gone to a handful of games here in New York since graduating.  My love for the team has not wavered but my affinity towards the grey t-shirts has. Sure, I will still wear them to the gym but to a bar with classmates I haven’t seen in years? Nope, I am going to look cute, however, I have taken it a bit too far – wearing non-school colored items. 

There are a few games in February, including one at Madison Square Garden, and when non-profit Union & Fifth approached me I thought wouldn’t it be an interesting mix if I designed a high fashion blue and grey look that would go from a game watch to a posh fashion party?  For background, Union & Fifth is a trailblazing non-profit designer online consignment store which gives fashion a home in philanthropy by giving 100% of proceeds to charity.  How amazing is that?  This navy and silver Chanel bag is one of the items in their store and here are two looks featuring it:
