Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles

I made these delicious bites for a friend’s annual cookie party and while you can read all about the special occasion below, let’s get to why you are really here, my recipe for chocolate chip cookie dough truffles: 

[yumprint-recipe id=’5′]On Saturday evening I attended my friend Tara’s 4th Annual Tacky Christmas Cookie Swap with my chocolate chip cookie dough truffles and it was wonderful. After last year’s winner, my Peppermint Oreo Cookie Balls, I knew the competition was going to be tough and  needed to step it up.  I searched high and low and finally settled on an adapted version of this recipe for chocolate chip cookie dough truffles. I did not win tastiest cookie or best in show this year but I still had a great time (and ended up taking off my ugly vest after an hour). 

Even though I did not win I will take it as a good sign that I made a double batch and only three were left when it was time to choose the cookies to take home!
