Black and White for Helmut Lang

I chose this pretty black and white paisley dress for last night’s Helmut Lang party.

Heading out to events on weeknights always makes the attire tricky as I like to wear something cute and fashionable but also something office appropriate. I love this black and white dress which I wore with these ankle booties all day to the office with my sweater and I actually ended up keeping the cardigan on at the party as it was chilly in the store.

As soon as you walked in the door it really was food and fashion. I have admired Helmut Lang’s designs from afar for quite some time so it was a treat to be able to run my hands over all of the garments and feel the quality of the materials and admire all of the details that make his pieces stand out.

The prize for best dressed has to go to the Big Hair Girls though, Venus and Lizzy. Besides having amazing natural hair these two sisters are singers with an great indie pop sound and are just the sweetest.

Fashion, yes, yes, but let me tell you about this candy bar. Anything with Red Velvet automatically has me won over but while I was ogling over the candy from Stieber’s Sweet Shoppe I met the owner Lee Mann who told me all about her store that opened last month in the West Village. Seriously, yum.
