I usually try to steer away from weekend recaps but I think if there is any time you get an exception it is for your birthday. Saturday I had an absolutely wonderful day – thank you so much for all of my friends and family who helped me celebrate!
After brunch, shopping, and dinner I met up with a few dozen friends at a bar and planned ahead so I brought a pack of gold and a pack of silver Beautymarks “The New Original Makeup” from Mr. Kate. I blogged about how much I like these temporary foil tattoos at the beginning of August and then put one on at my friend’s bachelorette and another one during fashion week so it was only fitting that I brought them to my birthday party.
I brought the tattoos to dinner and a few of us put them on while waiting to pay the check – being the birthday girl I got first dibs and put the two lareg gold arrows on the inside of the left forearm and a gold feather on my right shoulder to match my black and gold sequin peplum dress:
What I did not count on, was what a big hit they were going to be! I think each person put on at least two and some of the boys even got into it – my friend Wes but what he called the bear claw scratches on his neck and my brother put one on his hand – fun for everyone!
Even the bartender approved!
