The necklaces, the wall art, the hundreds of Etsy options allowing you to easily declare to the world that you love your state? None of those apply to me and I feel like I am not cool enough to join the club. I grew up thirty minutes outside of New York City, in the suburbs, and have ventured twice into upstate in my 23 years as a resident of The Empire State but I do not have New York pride. New York City pride, sure but the whole state? Nope.
And sorry if this offends anyone, I do not have a cool looking state. Plus, if you take into consideration where I grew up (Westchester) and where I live now (Manhattan) and you try and put a heart on it, it would look like image I made on the right. Completely cutting off Long Island and just looking very, very strange. Even if I did have over whelming state pride there will be no paraphernalia for me. But if you do have state pride there are some really cute things you can buy:
Florida State Necklace 24kt Gold Vermeil Tiny Dainty
. Texas and California State Map Women’s Racerback
Wisconsin Shaped State Single Toggle Maple Hardwood Light Switch Plate USA
Louisiana and New Mexico State Art Map Print .
Custom US State Rubber Stamp with Heart Over Your City
Do you have state pride?
Would buy any of these items?

I have tons of state pride, but I still won’t buy the stuff, haha. I love your reasoning why you don’t have it.

Ahah omg that wall/wood decoration is adorable.
And I have only been to the NYC so never really visited the rest of NY state to comment on it. But I am from Canada and tbh I don’t have any “Province Pride” either. Because I am proud of my whole country! I think we have a lot more things to be proud of than a silly thing like state/province pride. I mean we have our heritage, culture, accomplishments. But thanks for sharing this cute decor. Maybe they have province decor??
Love from Canada,

That light is very cool. I don’t think it would look as cool for Massachusetts!

I did grow in upstate New York and have lived in New Jersey for almost 10 years. I have absolutely zero state pride. Truth be told, ask that state paraphernalia bugs me. So basically, I’m right there with you!

I can’t say I have state pride of living in Georgia (actually, I can’t wait to leave) mainly because of politics…and where we live in Georgia. I’m originally from New York, then I lived in Maryland for 12 years, and now Georgia and pretty soon we’ll be living in Florida.
Which state am I supposed to have pride in? I’m seriously so confused.
