The more and more real life friends know about my blog the more people suggest topics for me to write about. I must say, I am quite flattered, especially when they are coworkers, but most people assume I must run out of ideas and thus need suggestions. While I am exceptionally grateful that thousands of you tune in on a daily basis I still have dozens of ideas and friends, while you are the best, I have got this one under control. However, every once in a while one of my IRL acquaintances comes up with a great idea and one of those was to write about adult coloring books.
When I lived in Brooklyn my roommates had a very, very intense Renaissance costume coloring book and each page was more intricate and complicated than the next, some with more than 1,000 segments to color. And while that might be extreme adult coloring books have become more and more popular in recent months and I would like to point out I actually featured the Rx Warby Parker Coloring Book 2013 Holiday Gift Guide for your Best Friend. In the last two years there have been a great deal of new entrants into the adult color book space and these are some of my favorites:
Joyful Designs Artist’s Coloring Book
Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Patterns
Outside the Lines: An Artists’ Coloring Book for Giant Imaginations
Color Me Stress-Free: A Zen Coloring Book
Art Nouveau Animal Designs Coloring Book
Creative Haven Wild Animal Portraits Coloring Book
Coloring Books for Grownups: Dia de los Muertos
Stress Less Coloring – Paisley Patterns
Have you heard of color books for adults?
Do you have one?

I still love coloring! For these, do you use colored pencils, markers or crayons?

I had no idea there was such a thing as adult coloring books, but now that I do, I kind of want one! They look so fun!
