HAPPY THANKSGIVING! As you may have noticed from my tweets and Instagram account I am in Florida spending this Thanksgiving “break” with my family. I can not tell you how excited I was to leave cold, snowy New York City on Tuesday night and arrive somewhere where the high that day had been 82 degrees.
My original plan was to have each day of this week devoted to a thing I am thankful for but I quickly realized there are many more things than just. I tried to narrow it down to five or seven things but I kept thinking of more – and some of those did not necessarily deserve a full post. Since 27 is my favorite number I have decided to list of twenty-seven many things that I am grateful for. Some are deadly serious and some I was laughing while typing. This Thanksgiving I am thankful for:
- My parents – For being my rocks. Thanks mom and dad.
- My family – For being my closest kin in the world.
- My friends – For being my companions in life.
- Kind strangers – For brightening up my days when I least expect it
- Georgetown – for providing a environment conducive to learning and growing.
- My bed – For me to sleep comfortably every night.
- Good Tweezers – For really making a difference.
- Rainbows – For a beautiful sight to look forward to after rain.
- New York Bagels – For giving me another reason to love my city.
- Laughter – For serenading your life with joy
- Audio Books – For adding sanity to my commutes
- My best friends – For being there for you whenever you need them
- Autopay – For helping me stay on-top of everything.
- Mistakes – For helping you to improve and become better.
- Tears – For helping you express your deepest emotions.
- iPhone case – For saving my phone from all of its accidental trips to the floor.
- Snow – For making winter even more beautiful
- Internet – For connecting you and me despite the physical space between us
- Cell phones – For making it easy to stay in touch with others
- Swimming – For teaching me that hard word and dedication really do pay off.
- My mentors – For their dedication and for passing down knowledge to me.
- Saltwater – For curing anything; sweat, tears, or the sea.
- Social Media – For brings thousands of you here to my blog and it is also my job!
- No Dress Code – For allowing me to wear whatever I want to the office.
- Dark Chocolate – For being so delicious.
- New York City – For surprising me everyday.
- Shoes – For … Just because.
This special day I have to say though family tops the list and it always will. I just saw the final product of our Christmas card yesterday and I am so excited to share that with you soon!
This Thanksgiving what are you thankful for?
