October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it is so exciting over the last ten years how much it has grown – this year companies and individuals from all industries across the globe come together to promote breast cancer awareness, share information on the disease, and provide greater access to services. A year ago I did a very similar post called Think PInk! last year and as this is a cause that means a tremendous amount to me I plan on doing one every year!
When I was growing up every October I would participate-in and volunteer-at the five mile Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in my home town but now that I have moved away I have found other ways to “make strides”. It is always good to support such a great cause and this season there are so many cute options you can purchase to help the cause! These are my favorite items right now that donate a fixed amount or a percentage of sale to a variety of Breast Cancer Awareness centers and research foundations. It is such an important cause!
This year LOFT chose Giuliana Rancic as their first global ambassador for their “Live In Pink” campaign and she was the inspiration for these earrings designed by Suzana Dai. They are $39.50 and 60% of the purchase price donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Next up? Yes, it is BCA month w but who says we can not get the boys involved – this Vineyard Vines Chappy Stripe Tie is the same price as the rest of their ties, $75, AND they are donating 30% of the proceeds. In October Edible Arrangements is offering this Breast Cancer Awareness Bouquet may be a bit pricy at $55 but it looks delicious! This fruit bouquet is beautifully arranged with fresh strawberries hand-dipped in gourmet pink (white) chocolate to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
You all know I love chevron so this Vineyard Vines Chevron Deck Tote in Charm Pink, $140, had to make the list and it is even better that VV is donating 30% of the proceeds from their entire back to the Breast Cancer Alliance! Philosophy has put their own spin on fundraising with its Shower for the Cure shampoo, bath and shower gel and I love that they donate 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this product year-round to the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund.
One of my favorite Target brand’s, Sonia Kashuk, donates 15% from the sale of each Proudly Pink five-piece brush set, $15.99, to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. These Asic’s GT-1000 hot pink sneakers are amazing and the same price as their normal trainers, $100. These sneaks are from their second collection with breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate’s Right Action for Women and they have guaranteed a minimum donation of $100,000. Last but not least, the price point, $40, of these KitchenAid Cook For The Cure Measuring Cups made me almost leave them off the list but they are so cute and made me put them on here, 10% is going to the Susan G. Komen foundation!

I am loving those earrings! There are so many to help support such a great cause and shopping is the most fun of them all. I have taken a few years off from walking but I’m excited to be back doing the Making Strides Walk this year.
