Over the past week I have calculated that 57% of the comments I receive are from no-reply bloggers and while it very irritating, I do not think it is offenders are doing purposely. Therefore, I am on a mission to help rid the blog-o-shphere of this issue, reaching out to one blogger at a time. In the past three days I have emailed a dozen ladies to let them know that the reason they are not getting responses to their lovely comments is that we, on the other end, can not reply to their emails. I have searched high and low for a simple, clean cut tutorial on how to fix this issue and, as I said, have decided to create one of my own. Here are my steps for fixing your no-reply status through on Blogger:
BACKGROUND- Check to see if you are a no-reply blogger
- Make a comment on your own blog
- Check your email to see if you received the comment and see who the email is from. Is it your email or “[email protected]”
- If it is from noreply-comment address then you are a no-reply blogger, but fear not, it is easy to fix!
STEP ONE and TWO – Go to your Blogger dashboard
- Click the arrow next to your blog name in the top right corner of your dashboard
- From the drop down select “Blogger Profile”
STEP THREE – Edit Your Blog Profile
- While on your blog profile page click on the large orange rectangle in the top right corner that reads “Edit Profile”
STEP FOUR and FIVE – Changing Email Settings
- Check the box “Show my Email Address” and confirm that the email that appears to the left is correct
- Click on “Save Profile” at the bottom of the page
Now bloggers will be able to reply to your comments, CONGRATULATIONS, haha.
If you are on Google+ I recommend Robin’s tutorial on how to go about fixing it no-reply status on Google+! If you are still having an issue, shoot me an email and I am more than happy to walk to your through it, and, even better, if it works, let me know!

Thanks for sharing this, I hated to not be able to reply, so I skipped past this totally and inserted IntenseDebate/Comment Luv on my blog rather than worrying about the hassles of Google/Blogger and their inefficiencies with coordinating commenters and writers. It has saved me a ton of heartache (and time) trying to reply to my readers.

Hmmn weird I do not often get no reply comments but I do occasionally. My blog is fine. But I have had someone tell me that they had problems leaving a comment on my blog when they connected to it via Bloglovin. And I have had this problem too with some blogs. What I in these cases is bi-pass Bloglovin and got to the bloggers url directly. Not sure if you know why that happens. But my pet peeve is Disqus. I HATE that it wants you to set up an account with them or use one of your social media accounts. But there is a way around this you can leave a comment as a guest, however it has to be set up this way by the person who owns the blog. I can not tell you how many times I have navigated a way from commenting on a blog b/c the blogger did not have the guest feature enabled on Disqus.

The problem is that when you then link your blog with Google+ it forces you back to no-reply. I fear this is a never ending headache.
