One of my absolutely favorite things about summer is the quality and availability of fresh fruit.  It seems like every street corner in New York City has a vendor full of vibrant delicacies all at great prices, but recently I have been noticing fruit not only in the market but on the bodies of fashionable women.

Whether it is in Topshop’s sweet pineapple print, a button-up watermelon frock, a hundred plus lemons on Alice & Olivia’s A-line citrus dress, or a this cute 60’s inspired flared cherry dress there are many cute options to pick from. These fun fruit prints are bolder than chevron, or polka dots but I think they are great when done correctly.  If a full dress is too much perhaps a fresh bikini print to round out the summer?

I have seen the watermelon suit on the beach on a pretty 20-something and was pleasantly surprised she did not look like she was trying to be twelve.  My only advice with bold, fruit prints is to be careful over over kill, ala the Spring 2013 fruit print on the Stella McCartney runway. 
And if all of this is MUCH too much for (I do not blame you) then my fruity recommendation would be Bananagrams! It is a great portable game for families, friends, and I have even seen a few blog posts about how to make it a drinking game – just think scrabble without having to wait your turn!
