Repeat Style Icon: Princess Kate

Hi folks and welcome back to the start of another week and a special week it is – New York Fashion Week starts on Thursday! Despite having work everyday I am incredibly excited to attend a handful of shows and presentations this season along with a few parties and it can not come fast enough especially as one of my favorite bloggers Samantha of The Samantha Show will be coming up from D.C. to join me for some of the shenanigans – eek, so exciting! Now back to the fashion … 

It has been over four years since I started my Style Icon series and I have posted about a great many beauties but today for the 40th installment of the series I want to circle back around to the first – Princess Kate.  Sure, I shared a few of her best outfits in October 2012 but that was a long time ago and in the last handful of years she has worn some truly incredible looks. In case you missed it I did write a post a year ago called Pleated Skirts like a Princess about, you guessed it, her pleated skirts but there are still many other looks I want to share including many by Alexander McQueen who she still favors.

And for the perhaps most un-Kate look of them all I love these oxblood and black Dolce & Gabana lace dresses (here and here) first for the official China state visit and before that for Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall in 2015.
