New Blog Design!

WELCOME TO THE NEW SPARKLES AND SHOES! 

As my blog has grown and grown I thought it was about time for a major overhaul. I wanted to launch the new and improved Sparkles and Shoes in time for the new year but as an amateur it took me a lot longer than I thought to make the changes I wanted, however,  it was worth the long hours as I am very please with the result. Here is a little tour of the changes:

I explained to a friend at a basketball game this weekend that I was almost finished giving my blog a makeover and she had absolutely no idea what that meant. I will sum it up for you just as I did for her – at the new Sparkles and Shoes you will find a redesigned header, a navigation bar, a new blogger image and a new layout.   The content will remain the same but the aesthetics when you visit the page and as you browse through will be different.  The redesigned header to me says a lot more about what type of blog you are visiting and what type of things you should expect so the glitter and hot pink does a great job introducing you to S & S.  With regards to the navigation bar there were three elements that were relocated the home, about,and contact functions and it is also home to three new things.

The Sparkles button brings you to a page I created that synthesizes all of the clothing and accessories trends I have written about in one place so you easily can find them.  Shoes is similar in that is a place where you can find links to around a dozen posts about shoes from my closet. Finally, my bucket list contains a very extensive list of all of the places I would like to travel to and includes a few of the places I have been lucky enough to visit.

I hope you like the changes as much as I do and just as a reminder this is what it used to look like!

    I love your new design girl! I just re-did my blog and I do love it, but then I see other designs with just the simple plane white background and it makes me want to change mine up again. I also think my sidebars are too cluttered. You did a fab job with your new design and I love how you pointed out where to find everything.

    I love it! I personally love when bloggers do their designs themselves vs. paying $500 for someone else to do it, so I applaud you!
