Thursday Trend: Brown Fur Vest & Alex Clare

My 12 Days of Christmas is finally over and I am going through a bit of withdrawal, those 12 posts about my favorite holiday traditions and gift ideas were so much fun.  If you missed out, fear not, you can still find the whole list here.  To avoid a slump I am jumping right back into my Thursday Trends, my favorite fashion apparel trend of the week!  I love the idea of a fur vest, it is the perfect thing to keep warm in the office and run out to grab a bite to eat at lunch:

On a completely separate note a good friend took me to the Alex Clare show last night in Brooklyn, if you did not already know that from my Twitter and Instagram (here and here).  To be perfectly honest when she said Alex Clare I was not sure who that was until she said, “that song from the Internet Explorer commercials.”  Now granted most of my TV comes through Hulu and Netflix but I do work in advertising and knew exactly the she song she meant. The show at the Williamsburg Music Hall was great and here is the famous song, “Too Close” that I filmed on my phone:

    I never thought I’d get into this trend…but these vests are seriously cute. I love that #1 vest under the “save” collection. And yes it must be faux fur, I’m not into wearing something that used to be alive!

    The girl in the first picture (Ciara?) looks overwhelmed by her vest, but the rest of them look great! I hope that brown fur vests never go out of style because they’re so comfy and warm.
    I’ve actually always wondered what kind of genre Alex Clare’s music is, but his Internet Explorer song is quite catchy πŸ™‚
