Good morning and Happy Monday! I mentioned last week I have changed the name of my blog and that the new site would be up and running by today and while I really hoped everything would be done the new logo is still in the works. However, to celebrate the new name I though there was no one better than Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, as she embodies sparkles and shoes with amazing class and poise.
Who are you kidding, Princess Kate is AWESOME! Besides being a true honest to goodness princess, I think she is a terrifically stylish royal and my newest victim of my closet envy. I whole heatedly agree with Time Magazine – she is definitely one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World. Within my lifetime I can not wait for her to ascend the British throne to become the Queen. Her wedding at Westminster Abbey in the Spring of 2011was truly an event not to be missed, and it occured on my favorite day of the year at university, Georgetown Day.
Kate is honestly is picture perfect. She is such a classic muse for Alexander McQueen – she looks terrific in everything from wrap dresses to over sized hats, especially those Jane Crobett and Sylvia Fletcher for John Lock and Company ones, at royal events.
Even though she has tens of thousands, or maybe even hundreds of thousands, to spend on fashion , she still wears her favorite pair of L.K. Bennett nude heels and granted they are 4 1/2″ and $345 but still obtainable for a woman who saves up for them.
