Allure’s August Free Stuff

Every year I rush to the news stands at the end of July and actually pay retail (gasp) for a copy of Allure’s August issue.  The magazine is not my favorite in terms of content or layout but their giveaways every August cannot be rivaled.  This year they are giving away 32,350 fashion and beauty items that range from things like $8 OPI Nail Lacquer to $240 Chi Touch hairdryers.

Every weekday, several times a day, Allure is giving away amazing brand name products for the entire month of August.  There are always drawings at 12p, 1pm, 2pm, 4pm, 5pm and 6pm and some days they also have giveaways at 7pm (all of the giveaways are EST so adjust accordingly).

There are two easy ways to win—by scantag or through the website.  A few minutes before the time listed for the item you want, for example, today’s 2 P.M. Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara either get ready to either scan the code or enter online and as soon as the clock hits 2:00:0.  You have to enter the code immediately because you have to be one of the first 300 people to sign up to win.   

Ps. I have been entering this contest for years and I win a few things every summer- there is no limit to the products you can win. Keep in mind, however, that there is no way to know you won until the product shows up at your door and some may take a few months to arrive. I once got an eye shadow palette in January!
