Some shoes are just shoes, and others deserve their own blog post. These feather pumps definitely fall into the second category – welcome to the latest installment of I Really Love My …
Back in 2019, while living in London, I purchased these gorgeous black-and-white feather-inspired pumps from Dune London. They were a little bit bold, a little bit playful, and exactly the kind of statement shoe I love. With their pointed toes, sky-high heels, and fabulous pattern, they instantly became one of my favorite pairs.

Over the years, these beauties made appearances with everything from a bright red shift dress to a navy lace-sleeved number and a classic black polka-dot dress. Looking back through these outfit photos feels like a little walk down memory lane, reminding me of different occasions, favorite outfits, and life before motherhood.
Unfortunately, it’s officially time to say goodbye.
Here’s something I never expected to write: after three back-to-back pregnancies, my feet have somehow SHRUNK!
I had always heard that pregnancy could make your feet grow, but apparently mine decided to do the opposite. These pumps are a UK size 6, which used to fit perfectly, but now they’re simply too big. I’ve tried heel guards, inserts, and just about every trick to make them work, but nothing has helped enough to comfortably wear them again.
And trust me, I’ve tried. When you love a pair of shoes this much, you don’t give up easily!
As much as I would love to keep them tucked away in my closet forever, I’m trying to be more intentional about holding on to things I actually wear. And shoes that slip off your feet with every step? Not exactly practical, especially when you’re chasing two toddlers around.
So consider this a little tribute to one of my favorite fashion purchases from my London years. Seven years later, I still think these feather pumps are fabulous, and I would happily buy the exact same pair in a smaller size.
RIP to these beauties. You had a wonderful run, made countless outfits better, and will certainly be missed.
Now, if anyone happens to spot a similar pair of feather pumps, please send them my way. My shoe collection has a very fabulous hole to fill!
