If you’ve been following along lately, you may have noticed… I went all in on a closet clean-out. And I mean all. in. After two pregnancies back-to-back, my closet just wasn’t making sense anymore. It was filled with pieces from completely different stages of life—sizes all over the place, items I loved but no longer wore, and so many things just sitting there untouched. So I finally decided it was time for a reset… and somehow that turned into listing over 100 items.
I hit a point where my closet felt more overwhelming than inspiring. There were beautiful maternity pieces I didn’t need anymore, baby gifts and clothes that had already been outgrown, and things I had been holding onto “just in case.” With two little ones, I just don’t have the time (or energy) to dig through clutter every morning. I wanted something simpler, more intentional, and a wardrobe that actually reflects where I am right now.
This clean-out ended up being a mix of everything. There are maternity and pregnancy pieces I lived in, postpartum-friendly staples, pre-pregnancy favorites that still deserve a life, and a range of baby items, gifts, and toddler pieces Lily has already outgrown. Some of these were genuinely hard to part with, but I would so much rather see them being used and loved again than sitting in a drawer.
I made my first sale in March, and it’s been moving ever since. With over 100 items listed, I’ve already had dozens sell across every category, which has been so exciting to see. What’s been especially nice is the range—women’s sizes from US 2–12, and kids from preemie through 3T—so there really is something for a lot of different stages, whether you’re pregnant, postpartum, or shopping for little ones. And I can’t even explain how satisfying it is seeing these pieces actually get worn again.
If we told it up I have sold 37 items on Vinted, 15 on Poshmark, and 3 on Facebook Marketplace, I would call that winning.
Not surprisingly, some categories have gone especially quickly. The maternity basics I wore on repeat, like-new baby gifts, toddler bundles, and those easy, everyday outfits have been the first to sell. It’s a good reminder that the most wearable, practical pieces are always the ones people gravitate toward.
I’ve listed everything across both platforms if you want to browse—on Vinted here: is sparklesandshoes927 and on Poshmark here: sparklesnyc. If you are shopping, I would definitely start with Vinted. I’ve found it to be the easiest lately, especially for everyday pieces, and the pricing tends to be better. If you’re not on it yet, you can join here.
This clean-out ended up being about more than just clearing space. It felt like a bit of a reset—letting go of pieces tied to past seasons and making room for what actually fits my life now. Less clutter, more clarity, and a closet that finally feels manageable again. If you’ve been thinking about doing your own edit, I can’t recommend it enough. Start small—it adds up quickly. And if you end up grabbing something from my closet, I’d love to know 💛
