In 200 days I will be walking down the aisle and for some reason that is hard to grasp. In fact, we asked our flower gril and ring bearer this past weekend to be a part of our special day and when the flower girl asked how far away May 8th is I had trouble articulating it to her – it feels like such a far time from now. Maybe it is because many things I can not cross off my list until I am in Florida over the holidays, one of which is my hair and makeup trial. I have found a great company to do the hair and makeup of my bridesmaids, mom, and me but I am going to do a trial run to make sure it is exactly what I want.
For this trial run I was asked to bring photos of what I am looking for and I appreciate a company that gives very clear instructions “It is very helpful if you would email or text pictures of hairstyles and makeup looks that you like prior to your trial run appointment. Please include a picture of yourself, a picture of your dress is also helpful. Your hairstyle will be done in a way that changes can be made to personalize your look. This means that your hair will not be done as firmly or sprayed as heavily as it will be on your wedding day.” A lot of information, for sure, but I am quite detail oriented so I find that very helpful and reassuring. That said, I need to start pulling ideas and this is what I have come up with so far wedding hair and makeup:

Clearly I have some narrowing down to do but at least I have selected on a direction – more natural makeup look with lashes – likely airbrush foundation that is not to heavy and will stay well in the heat. And for my hair, something sleek and classic though I do need to decide up or down and how much!
Do you have any wedding hair and makeup suggestions for me?

Funny you should ask. My girlfriend who got married last year had her hair and makeup professionally done for her wedding.
The hair part got an A+ but the makeup part, while nice looking was way more makeup than she usually wears. She mentioned to the make up artist that she wanted a minimalist look as she was not a heavy make up user and wanted to look natural. The artist kept on insisting that she needed heavier foundation, more blush and more eyeliner/shadow. She really didn’t look like herself and asked the artists to tone it down. The artist kept pressuring her saying she needed to go heavier so that the flash photography would not make her look pale.
In the end, my friend was not happy with how she looked nor the photos so stick to your guns if it is not turning out how you want it to look.

Oh my you found so many gorgeous brides to feature here.
I would be thrilled if I looked anywhere near this good when I get married.
Hair up or down, I would think that your hair person during your trail would give you a couple of suggestions both ways and see which ones flatter your face the most.
You are so photogenic that you are going to be a stunning bride no matter what you choose.

What they can do with hair now is unbelievable.
Can’t wait to see what you choose.
