Welcome to my latest trends feature! I have been waiting to see what is going to happen with Fashion Week – which should be happening in New York, Paris, Milan, and London next month – but as I have come to realize with most COVID effected things, fashion is still moving ahead whether or not we can see the new colelctions in person or not. Right now I have been seeing pearls just about everywhere and yes, I have been to quite a few wedding dress shops where pearls have been on more than a dozen dresses. And yes, I do wear pearl studs earrings nearly every day but that is not what I am talking about – pearls have been becoming a part of my life more than just jewelry.

That said, today’s post is about pearl details on clothing and shoes. The shoes featured above are & Other Stories pearl detail heeled sandals in black and are just one of the many ways Faux-pearl embellishment can add a pop to something, especially when it is black. I have pulled together a number of options range from $12 to $650 and take a look at these top picks:

It was a bit harder than I would have thought to round up these items, mainly because pearl earrings, headbands, and necklaces were the first hundred results. I did not include this ALICE + OLIVIA Kam asymmetric faux pearl-embellished stretch-cady dress because even though it is 60% there are only a few left in a few odd sizes and I really like the retro faux pearl embellishments of this otherwise modern black dress. I also did not include Keyhole Back Pearls Detail Tunic Dress because the reviews say it is very low quality and I do not want to make poor suggestions to all of you!

I like both of the dressed and especially the one with the pearls on the shoulder. The flair at the bottom of the dress looks super flattering and I can only imagine how fun and flirty I would feel walking around with that fun little swoosh going on.
You can bet my boyfriend will like it too.
Tops are cute too and may have to pick up one of those also.

Really big fan of almost everything pearl but I am not a fan of the pearls against the pink background. They get lost in the light color.
I’ve seen some cute looks against royal blue and deep pink or darker lavender.

The DIDK Tunic Dress with Embroidered Floral Mesh Bishop Sleeve is my favorite. I like how feminine the sleeve looks.
The pearls on the sleeve give it a very expensive look in my opinion. Great little black dress to have in the closet that would work well at most any event.

Great selections Kelly. I already have a few heels with pearls or studs on them. I need the black pearl top (upper right). I would pare the top with a cute short skirt and sandals. The dress (bottom right) is perfect for a cocktail party. Nice and short and shows lots of leg which I totally approve. This black pearl dress would go great with my gold metallic high heel sandals.

Pearl detail is wonderful and like the fact that there is a bit more of a heel to it so that I can stand at cocktail parties for long periods without my feet telling me to go sit down asap.
