(Inspiration –Up in the Mountains)
Admitting you have a problem is the first step on the road to recovery and today I am admitting I have a problem. A problem with posing with my hand of my hip #skinnyarmposeforlife. It is easy, it is slimming, and I like how it looks but it gets a bit boring after a certain amount of time.
Over the last few months I have been putting a concerted effort to try and change this (I hope you have noticed in my recent Style posts) and I am going to try even harder for my next shoots. But after years of putting my left hand on my hip I have taken to Pinterest to try and find some other poses that may be a great option.
I have found so many so I have taken this post in two directions, one for usual style and outfit shots and the second for the unusual or quirky shots but ones that I also like. Let’s start with the normal ones or at least poses that could be doable in half of the shoots I am in (i.e. no extensive props needed or magic lighting):
(Inspiration – Coffee Out the Window)
(Inspiration – Crossed Arms in Field)
(Inspiration – Over the Shoulder)
(Inspiration – Pink Skirt Twirl)
(Inspiration – Touch the Sky)
and now, a selection of poses for quirky or not everyday shoots but that I would not mind recreating as I think they are fun, fresh, and something different.
(Inspiration – With a Sparkler)
(Inspiration –Palm Shadow)
(Inspiration – Throwing Leaves)
(Inspiration –Shell at the Beach)
(Inspiration – Lavender Fields)
(Inspiration – Venice Canals )
There were other really cute ones like this shot at the grocery store or this one looking up at the clouds but I could not find high res enough photos, but I think you get the idea! Do you have a favorite way to pose? And if you want to see even more feel free to head to my Pinterest board of photoshoot inspiration with more than 100 ideas that will certainly prove blog or Insta worthy.
Do you have a pose that would qualify as s photoshoot inspiration?

These are so inspiring! I’m still at the stage where I’m learning to be comfortable in front of a camera at all 😀

So many great inspiration pics! i take my outfit pic each morning as I leave the house so I’m definitely guilty of doing the same thing each time. I need to try mix it up a little! 🙂
Hope that your week is going well 🙂
