As a true New Yorker I believe you can wear black any time of year and even though many think white offsets a tan nicely I would argue all black can too! My favorite part about this look is my new Zara Faux Leather Pleated Skirt and the best part about this pleated number is the elastic waistband that makes this look so easy.

I love your outfit. Perfect for any formal occasion. I wish my mom was still around to raid her closet but I am too tall and my feet too big to fit any of her clothes. When I was 14 we were both similar size.

Normally I would never think of black as a spring choice. The details on that neckline though makes me give it a second thought. Plus the fabric of the outfit looks so light and airy that it would work really well for spring.
