It is all things Christmas here in London but I promised to share my many overdue travel posts so today I am throwing it back to a warmer time. You may have seen my post about how much I liked staying at the Mount Kenya Safari Club and that my favorite activity was the horseback ride to the albino zebras. However, I may have to rectify that because on the grounds of the property is the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy and Animal Orphanage and it was pretty incredible. You can think about it like a zoo meets an orphanage.
The purpose of this animal orphanage is to give orphaned, injured, or neglected wild animals another chance. During my visit it was clear the animal keepers loved their jobs and gave all of the creatures love and attention – whether they were going to be released back to the wild or too hurt that they will live the rest of their lives being cared for. There were so many highlights but my favorite was a tie between bottle feeding a baby zebra that we bottle fed and the gorgeous leopards. Take a look:
These zebras, too cute and this baby is not going to be able to go back to the wild but it will definitely have a great life.
Is the Mount Kenya Safari Club Orphanage somewhere you would like to visit?

Those animals are insanely cute.
I would want to spend all day there petting, feeding, visiting them all. So glad that there is a spot where orphaned animals can get the care and treatment that they need.

You look so cute when the ostrich is eating out of your hand. Did it hurt/peck at you. I am not sure I would have been brave enough given that huge beak that they have.
Great spot to visit and get so close to all those animals.
