Today is a very special day, it is my Mom’s birthday! And thus, I just wanted to take a minute and say a HUGE happy birthday to my OG travel buddy since day one. There has never been a more loyal fan or loving supporter of everything and anything I have every wanted to do – whether that was start a fashion blog (she has become quite the photographer and takes more than half of Sparkles and Shoes outfit photos) to me picking up my life and moving to London earlier this month.
There are tons of people who asked me if I was nervous to move abroad but I’ve loved travelling since I can remember and my Mom instilled that in me – heck, I spent my first birthday in Paris eating ice cream at the Eiffel Tower, if that wasn’t a sign I don’t know what is. Mom, I love you to the moon and back, thanks for always picking up my calls even when it’s a bad time, and I hope you have the best birthday!! And for the heck of it, a fun walk down memory lane with photos from the past decades!

Very nice tribute to your mom. How is she taking your move to London. I am back from South Beach and I had a fantastic romantic vacation with my boyfriend. We stayed at Essex House/Clevelander. Totally awesome.
