When I was in LA someone who I do not see very often said, “why does it always seem like you are in Seattle”. And to be honest that is a very fair question. Last year I went to Washington State 10 different times for work and with a once a month average I think it is fair to say I was a frequent visitor (and talk about frequent flyer miles 🙂 ). But because things change I do not have any plans to go back in the near future and to be honest, I am a bit nostalgic, I really like this Windy City.
On my last trip to the Pacific North West I managed to squeeze a trip to the Space Needle in showing two colleagues who had never been there the view from the top and for the first time also visit to Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. I had never been to this stunning museum and I am not sure why as the glass sculptures reminded me of some of the original pieces in Italy (not the China made stuff in Murano). It opened in 2012 and showcases the studio glass of Dale Chihuly. I had a great time walking the inside of the Chihuly Glass Museum around before exploring the Space Needle. I spent most of my time seeing the pieces inside as it was getting chilly and dark but I am sure they were equally as beautiful!
And after the Chihuly Glass Museum it was my second time going up the Seattle Space Needle. I was not as quite as giddy as the first time when I had the Grey’s Anatomy theme song playing in my head but the twilight / dusk made for some really great lighting for photographs. The fast paced elevator up the 605 feet was equally as exhilarating as the first time and though the wind made it quite chilly at the top we had a great time! Take a look at the stunning view!
Have you ever been to the Space Needle or Chihuly Glass Museum?

What amazing photos. You must have felt like you were in a glass museum. I have never been to Seattle or the Space Needle but need to put it on my list of go to at some point.

I have been to the space needle but that exhibit was not there then. I wish it was. It looks like you got a trip to the glass blowing in Venice as a bonus. So jealous. Great photos too.
