Hello, hello! Tomorrow is Friday and after a quick trip to Boston I am back in New York City for the next 16 days! It is nuts that that is a long stretch in my life but I am uber excited my new mattress is set to arrive today and I get to sleep in my own bed for more than two weeks! Then it is off Los Angeles for a friend’s 30th but until my next trip let’s talk about your next trip! When I visit people I always like to bring something or give them something and recently I have been turned to Thoughtful Geography Gifts.
My next trip to LA made me think of my last trip to Los Angeles where I got my friends Alyssa and Dave a cutting board in the shape of California as they had recently moved to the West Coast from New York City. However, when I was looking up presetns – and isn’t Etsy the best? – I foudn so many other cute topitions that I made a ntoe to share with all of you!
(1) Topographic Map Silk Necktie (2) Arizona State Magnet with Air Plant
(3) Customized Moscow Mule Mug with State Silhouette (4) Custom State Silhouette Necklace
(5) Texas Bottle Opener in Solid Walnut (6) National Geographic Nautical Chart Coasters, Set of 4
(7) Been There Scratched That Watercolor Map (8) Cannes, France Vintage Map Pendant
I tried to pick a few things for her, a few things for him, and a few things that would be cute to give a couple. Oh, and in case any of you were curious I ordered this personalized cutting board in California and got the 12 x 15 size in a cherry wood.
What do you think of the idea of geography gifts?

I am going to visit my friend next week. I am going to order the necklace and the coasters as a hostess gift. Hopefully I will be invited back next year!ππ

Love these suggestions. I have also ordered pillows especially if I am visiting someone’s vacation house.
Never knew about the jewelry though. Great ideas!!

The coasters and the cutting board are my favorite ideas. I struggle sometimes with hostess gifts and everyone would love these. Thanks.
