People ask me where i wants to be in five years and I would say more than half are surprised when I say the answer is not New York. For the last half decade I have lived in Big Apple and it has been a truly remarkable experience but by 2022 I would love to live in other place, maybe abroad. But until then I want to take advantage of everything New York city has to offer and that includes the things in such close proximity to it. In August we celebrated my friend Samantha’s bachelorette and she picked a great spot for a day of incredible relaxation at Sojo Spa Club.
Of all of the spa’s we looked at it was certainly on the pricier end but a five hour visit with our day pass to the incredible Sojo Spa Club was exactly what the doctor ordered. I took a $3 bus from New York City’s Penn Station and 35 minutes later was at the door of the spa which is opened 9am to midnight every single day. Admissions starts at $65 (it is $75 on weekends) but includes all regular amenities and we made a plan to check out as many of them as we can.
We started outside with the relaxation foot pool, the silk bath, Hinoki bath, and the waterfalls. After checking out the infinity pool, we decided to check out the saunas include the charcoal sauna, salt sauna, and ice sauna at Sojo Spa Club. The outdoor pools, especially those with the massage jets were my favorite but the saunas gave them run for their money.
The next time I go, and you better believe there will be a next time – I will be checking out the Spa Menu and perhaps options for a full body massage or a luxurious facial. OH, and I mentioned this was a bachelorette – well you may have seen on Instagram that my friend, the gorgeous blonde in the photos above, got married on Sunday night.
Both the ceremony and reception were held at The Reeds at Shelter Haven located in Stone Harbor, New Jersey and it was a gorgeous venue. While I have been to quite a few weddings I have never been to one on a Sunday and this semi-formal affair was certainly a memorable one. Thank you Sam and James for having me as part of your special day! Head to Insta for more photos or I included my favorite one below!

Spa days are always fun. This must have been a fun bachelorette party. Last bachelorette party for me was Miami several years ago and it was spa in the day and male strip club at night.

Looks like it was a lot of fun. I hope the next wedding I’m in they choose something fun like this as the bachelorette party.
