Despite only being in Copenhagen for a few days I had quite a few delicious meals having done my research ahead of time and tried everything from street food to renowned dining at a Michelin star restaurant. After many delicious eats I wanted to share the three best meals I had in Copenhagen that need to be on your list if you will be heading to Denmark anytime soon!
Lo-Jo’s Social : Landemærket 7, 1119 København K, Denmark: Google will tell you it’s a bar but it’s so much more! Owned by an adorable Australian named George I had the best time, sitting down just after 8pm on a picnic table outside under a heat lamp and stayed more than two hours just as the menu suggested, “we encourage you to relax, watch the world pass, and enjoy your meal over an extended period”. I dined on the slider special (I chose classic cheeseburger and friend fish), the salt and pepper squid, and the carrot salad with warm goat cheese which was recommended by the waitress and all three were amazing!! And without even looking at the drinks menu I opted for an Aperol Sprtiz, because 🙂
I also made friends with Danish influencers and PR girls who sat at the table next to me which is why I have photos of gorgeous bags, delicious drinks, and a feast of food. I was very full by that point but did try the tar tar which was delicious!’ It was still light out when I left at 10:20pm (which was nuts) and I happily walked back to my hotel.
I started with a glass of pinto Gris followed by the very interestingly played white asparagus. Then I finished with the braised pork with Spring truffle which was incredible, although a bit on the small side (I guess that’s why it was a medium size dish). The waiter made sure to inform me that it was supposed to look like nature and I nodded in agreement, yup, it looked a little bit like it was from the Forrest. I ate slowly and put my phone away to just take it all in – quite an experience. Two dishes and a glass of wine set me back a pretty penny but I still highly recommend it, just be prepared and it is far from moderately priced. This restaurant only opened last year but based on the quality of the food and the popularity on a Sunday night I imagine it will be there for a long time!

These were definitely my top three but I will have to give an honorable mention to Joe & The Juice. This delicious smoothie, shake, and sandwich place is delicious. I’m particular their coffee shake (I added protein the second time) and the avocado sandwich are highly recommended. And while you have all likely heard it called Copenhagen the way it is spelled in Danish is København which is what the addresses below show in case you want to pay any of these delicious spots a visit when you are looking for food in Copenhagen.
Which place would you like to try?
