When I was back at Georgetown University for my college reunion a week and a half ago I hit the thrift store jackpot. On Saturday afternoon as walking down Wisconsin Avenue a new store caught my eye. When I walked in I realized it was a consignment shop and I was excited to see what goodies they had, knowing I might be in luck because it was not only a high end neighborhood but also the university students were all home for Summer.
The store had not been there when I was in school but it was beautifully laid out with signs that said they received new inventory every day. My suspicions were right when I picked up these gorgeous silver beauties off the 8.5 shelf and put them on – so freaking pretty! They are silver metallic J. Crew metallic high-heel sandals and they fit perfectly – take a closer look!
The best part about these shoes though was the price, only $20! As you can tell from the bottom soles it looks like they were never worn and I think I marked the bottoms up more walking around the store when I tried them on then they were before! After I got home I checked the J. Crew website and while they are not a current style (the closest would be these Mirror metallic high-heel sandals) J. Crew prices shoes like this between $190 and $250 so I got at least 90% off, wohoo!
And lastly, a few photos from my reunion weekend down at Georgetown as I skipped a recap post and a few people have asked where they were! Washington, D.C. is certainly a fun city to visit and Georgetown is definitely my favorite neighborhood but I know I am a bit bias! 🙂
Such a great weekend with so many amazing friends and it was just an added bonus that my suitcase came home a little bit heavier with these Metallic Silver J.Crew High Heel Sandals!
